Celebrating Fire Hydrants

Celebrating the Fire Hydrant in all its variations and locations.
"He also serves who only stands and waits." John Milton

If you would like to add a picture of a fire hydrant from your area, send it to MundaneFotos@yahoo.com
or post a picture on your blog and leave me a comment. If you don't mind, please include the location of the fire hydrant: city, state/province, country. I reserve the right to crop the photos if needed. Photos of fire hydrants actually used to fight a fire will be given a preference (details appreciated). Photos that include firefighters are even better.

That's a marker. It looks like it's on a hill, and possibly in an area where children go sledding. The marker lets people know where the hydrant is if it's covered.
